Ayllu’s home based visiting program launched in March and we are proud to announce we have enrolled and actively serving over 40 families in North King County. Our families have welcomed us into their homes to help guide them with their child’s development.
By building trusted relationships we have been able to connect families with early intervention (early supports), initiate special education evaluations with local school districts, enroll children in Head Start, help navigate complicated medical systems and support many other family needs. Each family’s needs are different but our promotoras have helped families improve their living situations, build confidence in themselves, helped mom’s build a sense of self-worth and empowered them to advocate for their children.
Since the school year began, our intake line continues to ring daily!
